Not all of them were of gigantic size. Even if they survived till the flood this would not have required taking pairs of Mammoth verieties INTO the Ark. Other smaller members of a part family kind to which they belong would have sufficed to furfill the devine command..."

  Awake 1973 banned Witnesses playing Chess..why?

  are all articles from jehovahs thoughts or do personal biased views poison the watchtower articles?

  imagine a brother who hates chess observing in discust two bethelites playing chess...would it be right to use jehovahs "spiritual food" to push your own warped view....yes!!.

  awake 1973 3/22 p.12 chess- "...the spirit of compitition between players can lead to unplesant circumstances...most families can keep comfrontations to the chess board...but for some the tension lingers long past checkmate...chess has been a game of war since its origin...a play substitute for the art of war...there is a danger of "stirring up compitition with one another" even developing hostility towards one another, something the bible warns christians to avoid..what effect does playing chess have apoun one?

Is he grossly overweight but shows no restraint habitually gorging himself? ....he has NO PLACE IN THE CONGREGATION OF GOD...HE WILL NOT INHERIT GODS KINGDOM..."

  (Four years later the "fat-racist" continues) Watchtower 1978 12/15 p.9 "...he may make it impossible for other diners to eat to satisfaction. For this reason he may be dispised...he isolates himself from others...THEY MAY SHUN HIM...GODS KINGDOM WILL BRING LAW-DEFYING GLUTTONS TO AN END."

  Our Cong.- pizza hut all you can eat is cancelled this week.

  I guess Monopoly encouraged materialism...Hungry hippos was greedy...and playing cards leads to gambling!! This is an example of abusing our spiritual food to vent personal views....Jehovah did not aprove this message...bethel did.

  The Society is no longer printing hardcover books.

  letter read that the society will no longer be making hardcover books.

  also the told people to not place orders for daily texts or calendars if they had the ability to download these.

  who downloads a calendar?

  Smart corparations cut corners to save cash.....how much paper from the society ends up in the trash over the last 100 years!! Half the amazon rainforrest is gone due to Watchtower paper needs.

  Yeah from 1995 after they changed the generation teaching. My faith in the went down like a jet plane in trouble. So glad iwoke up and realized I was just a Watchtower battery. Faked a sickness and faded into the REAL world.

  i had a recent conversation with an elder from my mother's congregation.

  he with another elder was at my mom's house.

  my mother has all the bound volumes for both the awake and watchtower plus most of the older books.

  i am a member of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, and i have written a heavily-documented response to the official magazine of the jehovah's witnesses, awake!, that claims to teach what we believe.

  i saw an article from last year's watchtower about a guy who had barely been mormon for very long, and obviously did not know what we believe, who was given this magazine by jw's to show him "the truth.

  " he claims to have proven to himself that it was true from information on the lds church's website.

  Amazing.....I used to be this guy white washing Rutherford and Russells history....I could make Stalin look like a "really nice guy." Religious blindness and brainwashing is worse then cancer.

  Does anyone remember the excuse they used in 1979-1980

  back in 79-80 they came out with another wt stating quite clearly that jesus was not the mediator for most jw's and of course this upset quite a few and some asked "if jesus is not my mediator then how does god hear my prayers?

  ' does anyone remember what they said to answer this question?.
